The Party's Over (well nearly)

by murphymole @ 2008-07-31 - 22:30:18

We've had a long lazy day partying on the beach, and I hope the party was everything KingKev wanted

Soon the launch will have to take us back to The Lollipop where you can either retire to your cabins  or continue partying til the early hours.

Tomorrow  we will be sailing into the Port of Santa Cruz will post more about our stay in the log in the morning.

But for now carry on singing and dancing til the launch comes

Pour the gin, grapefruit juice and blue curacao into a mixing glass half-filled with ice cubes. Stir well. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with a sprig of mint, and serve.

Packing!

by la_spice @ 2008-07-29 - 12:28:25

Am I the only person who hates packing? I've "more or less" finished packing my suitcase for my brief spell on shore and I've hated every minute of it.

I have a three part system of chosing what to pack. I start off with a pile of "possibles" which get whittled down to "probables" with a few "who are you kidding?" in the process. I've now got down to "essentials" bearing in mind I have to leave a bit of space in my luggage for bringing back one or two "bits and pieces".

I decided that my new naughtical nautical items are best left on board.

Well I don't want to overdo it now!

I may see you all in the bar later but if I don't manage to catch up with you before I go keep smiling and having fun.

by murphymole @ 2008-07-29 - 09:54:35

Just thought I'd say hello and introduce myself to those who haven't met me yet. Captain's made me first mate and put me in charge while she's on shore leave. :)
I'm very easy going and my one aim on this journey is to have fun so all ideas will be received gratefully  (I don't want to let the captain down )

OH! and I'm open to bribes  Champagne, Vodka, Brandy

Captain's Log - Day 9

by la_spice @ 2008-07-29 - 06:10:37

Well we managed to weather the storms last night. Fortunately we're still anchored at Barcelona where we will be taking on extra provisions for the next leg of the journey. So where to next? According to CJ's book "ABC of Navigation" it should be somewhere beginning with the letter "C".

Princess Fiona has already suggested Canaries - so unless Murphymole decides otherwise (see previous post) Canaries it is.

Have a lovely day

Captain's Log - Day 8

by la_spice @ 2008-07-28 - 06:54:01

What a fantastic Dinner Dance that was last night. Murphymole dazzled everyone in her gorgeous gown. King Kev was positively drooling.

Today we will spend another day at sea as we make our way to our next destination which is Barcelona so it's another about turn, back through the straits of Gibraltar and turn left. This shouldn't take long so you will be able to go ashore this afternoon and visit Gaudi's Guell Palace before strolling along the Ramblas - just watch out for pick pockets though.

Have another fantastic day

by kevinwilson @ 2008-07-26 - 23:21:48

have any of you, my fellow passengers - yes, even those of you in economy class! - ever actually been on a real cruise?
what's it really like?
when i say cruise, i mean proper nautical cruising, not the other kind for which i gather you can be arrested.
