French 75

I've been asked by our good cap'n to come up with a cocktail for Spiritbird with cherries.

So, for you I present the French 75

1 oz gin
Castor sugar
1 oz lemon juice
5 oz champagne

Combine sugar, lemon juice, and gin in a shaker full of ice. Shake well, then pour into a tall glass and top with champagne.

Decorate with a cocktail cherry or orange slice.

Enjoy!

I suppose that's the nearest thing I'm going to get to La-spices cherry. Oh well it's better than nothing, it does look sweet and juicy though.
