Very glad to find me still aboard the Good Blogship Lollipop and not among the waves, I wake up after nine whole days of healing, thankful that today I can get up and see the ship. The burns are cleared, the skin no longer sore, and first thing in my mind is that I must get out to find and thank my carer, who these nine days since has been with me each day, to tend my wounds so carefully and calm my spirits of the recent trauma.
Getting off my bed, I stretch and look around the room to find a set of clothes upon a table, neatly folded. Taking off my patient's robes to dress myself afresh, I think about my carer and of how I ought to thank her, when I'm struck by something strange: I've yet to see her face! Whenever she's been in and tending to my back, I've had to be face-down upon the bed, and always after finishing her care she's left me resting in the same position. Never had I turned to see her!
Thinking thus and finishing my dress I plan to find Captain la_spice, and ask her who my carer was, as well the two who plucked me from the ocean. Many thanks I owe.
So, making all my final preparations, fancying I hear the sounds of crashing waves outside my cabin door, I open up, set forth to see a party in full swing, and find a very tasty jam and custard pie thrust in my face most kindly by a passing reveller.
