Oh, no, I didn't even think about saying/meaning whatever about you or anyone in particular.

The 'you' is contained in the sentence quoted from Quentin Crisp, I obviously didn’t use proper quoting marks - sorry!

I find QC's 'theory' about the essence of stardom and glamour in Mayer's Hollywood quite interesting - not so new, but excellently told: beauties, at that time,had to be great,blond and like horse putting... Nothing to do with blondes as such... :)

I've taken the time to write down what Quentoin Crisp says in the video:

"During the reign of Mr Mayer it was a Jewish idea of an Arian woman – you marry some nice Jewish girl – that means that you turn out to marry your mother – but you long for a greeeeat, blond and Nordic horse that’s going to put a foot in your face..."

I find that 'longing for'-theory interesting:

foot of Nordic horse was meant in the face of men (longing for it) in the Hollywood time of Mr Mayer
